EAEP at the 11th Nairobi International Book Fair
24th -28th Sept, 2008

The Annual Nairobi International Book Fair is here with us once again. Join us at the Sarit Center from 24th - 28th September, 2008 as we celebrate this year's theme of Diversity at the 11th Nairobi International Book Fair.

Indeed each of our new titles seeks to Celebrate Diversity in its own unique and classy way, satisfying every literary need in Africa and beyond. Our New and Exciting – Swahili (Visa na Vituko) and English (Sunrise series) – reading schemes, are our latest efforts at weaning young readers into the great world of African Literature.

The books in these two series, which target children in various levels of reading, are already causing ripples in the literary world. They seek to introduce children to homegrown works by renowned and upcoming authors and illustrators. This is in addition to our famed and renowned children's storybooks published under Sunbird, Sparrow and Junior readers series; and our Swahili titles under Visa na Mikasa, Paukwa Pakawa, Vitabu vya Nyota and Vitabu vya Sayari series. Secondary school students have found our newly rebranded Pathfinders series indomitable, exploring as they do all sorts of thematic concerns in the world of young adults.

They include titles by established names such as Cyprian Ekwensi, Barbara Kimenye and modern award-winning authors such as Ellen Banda-Aaku. The adult reader will also find remarkable works and new additions in our Spear and Peak Library series. Publications in these series have received wide acclaim in Africa and beyond.

The novels range from provoking satire to unique short stories that bring together the written heritage and the African art of storytelling. New additions in this series include A Journey Within by Florence Mbaya and The Travail of Dieudonne by Francis Nyamjoh. We urge you to sample these high-quality works of fiction that revolve around contemporary themes.

We invite you to meet some of our great authors and sample their works by paying us a visit at Stands number 7, 8 and 9, at Sarit Centre's Exhibition Hall. We will also have an Author Galore as we unveil the new titles on Thursday, 25th September 2008, starting from 3pm.

You are all invited!
