Dr. Henry Chakava, the Chairman of East African Educational Publishers, was, on Friday, 14 th September 2007, inaugurated as the Chairman of the Kenya Institute of Administration (KIA) council.

Dr Chakava was appointed to serve in that position for 5 years by H.E, President Mwai Kibaki. The inauguration ceremony was held at the KIA grounds in Lower Kabete, and was graced by the Minister for Public Service, Hon. Moses Akaranga.

KIA is a government parastatal that is mandated to promote national development through provision of training, research and consultancy to the public, private sector and NGOs.

The appointment of Dr. Chakava to such a position is a clear testimony that his impact on society has indeed transcended the publishing industry.
