Stronger Together: Our Team Building Day

Away from the manuscripts, the proofs and the print deadlines, the East African Educational Publishers team set aside a day for team building — and it was time well spent.

Publishing is collaborative work by nature. A single book passes through many hands before it reaches a learner: editorial, design, production, sales and marketing, finance, the warehouse. Days like this one are a reminder of how much smoother that journey becomes when colleagues know one another as people, not just as names in an email thread.

There was laughter, a healthy dose of friendly competition, and long conversations between departments that do not often get the chance to sit down together. We returned to the office a little more connected than we left it.
